Dr. Daniel Bregman is an extremely gifted eye surgeon, specializing in refractive and no-stitch micro-incision cataract surgery. His tremendous experience as a dedicated and skilled eye surgeon positions him as our team leader at Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee, Inc. Formerly the Chief of Ophthalmology at Ireland Army Community Hospital in Fort Knox, KY, he has been a member of our practice since 1993. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed his residency at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
His surgical success rate is unparalleled among his peers, having performed more than 30,000 LASIK procedures as well as more than 30,000 cataract procedures so far in his exceptional career. Dr. Bregman was one of the first surgeons in Tennessee to perform the Visian ICL procedure, which is another type of refractive surgery to correct vision for those who are not candidates for LASIK. Dr. Bregman is also the first cataract surgeon in Middle TN to perform micro-incision cataract surgery with a 1.8 mm incision, and also pioneered the use of LensTec Softec HD lens implants, which offers increased accuracy in lens implant cataract surgery patients. For his cataract patients wanting premium lens upgrades, Dr. Bregman uses state-of-the-art implantable lenses such as ReStor and Toric, allowing his patients to see exactly what they want to see post-surgery.

Dr. Crisp has built an impressive 18-year career as a cataract surgeon and ocular disease specialist. She excels as a compassionate ophthalmologist who cares deeply about her patients and strives to give them the best eye care possible. Before joining our team here in Nashville, Dr. Crisp completed a three-year residency at Louisiana State University and later became a resident instructor at Tulane Medical Center. She completed her Medical Doctorate at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
She has been practicing Anterior Segment Ophthalmology specializing in cataract surgery since 1992. She is most recognized for her accomplished skills in no-stitch micro-incision cataract surgery and the management and care of patients with glaucoma , including SLT laser therapy. Dr. Crisp is also known for her ozil phaco technique used during the cataract procedure, with excellent visual outcomes. She utilizes state-of-the-art premium lens upgrades, like the AcrySof Toric and the ReSTOR Multifocal Intraocular Lenses, which provide quality vision correction for cataract surgery patients interested in reducing the need for glasses after surgery.

Frequently described as a "great doctor" with "wonderful chair-side manner," Dr. Kostamaa is skilled and knowledgeable in all disorders and diseases of the retina, including macular degeneration, macular holes, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and epiretinal membranes. Always at the forefront of new retinal management advancements, he has participated in multiple clinical trials, all so that he can provide the best care possible to his patients.
Dr. Kostamaa received his medical degree and specialized ophthalmic training at the University of California in Irvine, where he served as Chief Resident. He also completed an additional two-year Fellowship in vitreorentinal disease. His commitment to his practice includes staying on the leading edge of advancements in medical and surgical treatments in retinal diseases and injuries, while also developing long-term relationships with his patients. He believes that teamwork is the key to delivering optimal eye care and that Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is ideally suited to provide this type of care.

Dr. Jenny Drake graduated Suma Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating with honors. She completed clinical rotations at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Ocular Disease and Low Vision, Pediatric Optometry, Contact Lens, and Primary Care. She also completed rotations at a private practice in Bowling Green, Kentucky as well as here at Eye Health Partners of Middle Tennessee, Inc.
Dr. Drake joined Eye Health Partners in July of 2008 as the Center Director for the Columbia, TN location. She now serves as the Center Director for all three Middle Tennessee locations, including Nashville and Murfreesboro. Her specialty areas of practice are in secondary optometric care, diagnosing and treating various ocular diseases, and consulting with local optometrists on challenging cases.
She is the current Vice-President of the Duck River Optometric Society and holds memberships in the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Optometric Association, the Gold Key Honor Society, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. During her time in Birmingham, she was an officer of Student Volunteers of Optometric Service to Humanity, placing her in charge of planning overseas mission trips to provide eye care to underserved areas of the world. Her cheerful demeanor and caring nature are very apparent in all she does to provide exceptional care for our patients.
